The Instant Pot doesn't have to do much to hold its spot as best kitchen appliance ever. First, the brand released an updated model called the Duo, which gave us even more capabilities than the original. Then, it came out in swoonworthy pastel hues that made our kitchens look cuter than ever. And now, Instant Pot is back with a surprise drop of an even more hi-tech model.
That's right — Instant Pot just announced the launch of the Instant Pot Duo Nova, a brand-new model jampacked with cool, upgraded features. Of course, it still has all of the trademark abilities of the OG — aka it's still a 7-in-1 machine that includes a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, and sauteer. Plus, you can set it to keep food warm while you prep sides (or, you know, binge-watch the latest episode of The Handmaid's Tale).
But the newest features — and why we're so excited — also include an automatic-seal lid, an easy steam release button, and an updated control center to monitor pressure, temperature, time, and heating intensity to help cook your foods more evenly and up to 70% faster. The older models, while also great, required you to manually seal the lid and release steam and pressure each time you prepared something (which was not only pretty easy to forget, TBH, but also often led to too-hot fingers).
The new Duo Nova makes cooking all of your favorite meals and foods way safer and more effective — see what we mean about loving Instant Pot so much? While it's only available in the 6-quart option currently, for $99.99, the brand says it will soon be released in the 3-quart and 8-quart sizes as well.
Now if only we could get this model in a dreamy teal hue (hint, hint).
