Test the vinegar mixture on a small, inconspicuous part of the clothing prior to applying to the entire garment. This will allow you to see how the mixture reacts to your clothes.
Remove dark spots on your iron's bottom with a vinegar and salt mixture. Mix equal parts salt and vinegar in a small bowl. Dip a clean towel into the mixture and rub the spots off of your iron. Remove the mixture with a clean wet towel.
