Honeywell Thermostat Setup Instructions

Honeywell thermostats allow you to set your environment to a comfort level from an easy-to-use control panel. Although Honeywell thermostats come already programmed, you will need to adjust your settings to for your personal use. While it's difficult to explain how to set up your thermostat without knowing the exact model number, most Honeywell thermostats have similar settings. You'll have to adjust the basic settings, including the date and time as well as the fan and system settings.

Date/Time

Step 1

Click the date/time display on the home screen of the Honeywell thermostat.

Step 2

Click "Set Time." Use the up and down arrows to set the current time. Click "Done" to save your settings.

Step 3

Click "Set Date." Use the up and down arrows to set the current date. Click "Done" to save your settings.

Fan

Step 1

Click "Fan" on the Home screen to display the Fan options.

Step 2

Use the up and down arrows to select "On" to have the fan always running. Select "Automatic" to run the fan only when the heating or cooling system is on. Select "Circulate" to have the fan run randomly about 35 percent of the time.

Step 3

Click "Done" to save your settings.

System

Step 1

Click "System" on the home screen to open the System screen.

Step 2

Use the up and down arrows to select the temperature settings, such as "Cool," "Heat" or "Automatic."

Step 3

Click "Done" to save your settings.
