If storage space for CDs and DVDs is a need in your household, the Mainstay Multimedia Storage Tower may be just what you need. Mainstay is the product name of a brand of furniture sold by Wal-Mart. Colored in a laminate alder wood finish, the tower has five shelves that can hold up to 287 CDs, 128 DVDs and 56 VCR tapes. All the pieces and hardware needed to build the tower are included and pre-sorted in individual packets to make assembly quick and easy.
Read the instruction manual completely, and then lay out all the pieces and mounting hardware. Check to make sure all parts are present.
Locate the two side pieces and the top and bottom of the storage tower. Use a Phillips screwdriver to attach the two side pieces to the top piece of the tower. Attach the bottom piece to the two side pieces with the screwdriver.
Attach the support legs to the bottom shelf of the tower with the Phillips screwdriver.
Attach the back of the tower to the rear side of the tower frame using the screwdriver and mounting hardware.
Locate the shelf support holes on the inner sides of the tower. Use a hammer to tap the support dowels into place into all of these holes.
Slide the storage shelves onto the support dowels inside the tower.
