Things You'll Need
Apple cider vinegar
Wood floors require basic cleaning and maintenance, which will both protect the floor from damage plus keep the floor looking as attractive as possible. Apple cider vinegar is a natural cleaning agent that works well on wood floors, as when diluted with water, it is a safe cleaner for both finished and unfinished wood floors, while remaining strong enough to clean and disinfect the floors. No rinsing with water is required after cleaning with the vinegar, as it dries clear and free of streaks or film.
Fill a cleaning bucket with a vinegar and water mixture, using 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar per 1 gallon of warm water.
Sink the mop in the bucket of water and cider vinegar, and pull it back out.
Twist the soaked portion twice to remove as much water as possible.
Swish the mop across the wood floors, following the direction of the wood grain. Work in a way that allows you to move from one side of the room to the other, without requiring you to track back over the flooring. You want to allow the floors to dry fully before anyone walks over them to prevent footprints.
