Working remotely comes with its benefits, but now we're in a moment where it be might be a necessity more than an option. With precautions surrounding coronavirus, some people are opting to stay home and work remotely.

A 2019 survey of 1,202 U.S. full-time workers found that 62% of them work at home in at least some capacity, so some of us might already be used to this setup. But not everyone is used to the change, and even if you normally opt for remote work, it's not always with your partner or roomie around 24/7 too.

In light of the recent conversations about remote work, we compiled a list of a few things that might help you block distractions at home. These are also useful for creating your own designated space within your home. Here are some of our suggestions for getting started.

1. Cowin E7 Active Noise Canceling Headphone, $59.99

Living with a noisy roomie, significant other, or furry friend? Stick these over your ears and get into the working groove (just be sure to look up or turn the volume down once in a while).

2. Urban Outfitters Tulip Room Divider Screen, $349

If you've got the space, try using a room divider to designate a certain part of your room as your workspace. This marks a division: When you're on one side of the divider, it's work time.

3. Urban Outfitters Bamboo Beaded Curtain, $49

If a room divider feels like too big of a commitment, try a bamboo curtain instead. Again, it's all about separating work space from regular home space.

Turn on your diffuser to mark the start and end of your work day. And if you're feeling stressed, essential oils are always a good idea.

5. Poppin Blush Drawer Organizer, $13

Maybe, like us, you haven't actually peeked into your home desk drawers in a while. Grab some organizers and do some serious tidying before you settle in, so you're not tempted to do some random rearranging as procrastination later.

6. Hallie Bamboo 4-Tier Desk Organizer, $34

If you don't have a ton of drawer space, create some extra space on top of your desk. But more importantly, use one of these handy drawers to put your phone away. It will be impossible not to check it for news, of course, but at least it will be less distracting if it's out of sight, out of mind.

7. Sunbeam Mini Refrigerator, $109.99

Here's a throwback to dorm days. While it's a great idea to get up for breaks, a mini fridge helps if you want a snack without interrupting your flow. It's also great if you want to avoid any distractions in the kitchen (including your roomies or the temptation to start cleaning).
