When retailer Lulu and Georgia announced their textiles collab with everyone's favorite interior designer — Sarah Sherman Samuel — we noticed something in the product photography: a cane sideboard. Which made us realize that we've actually been seeing storage pieces in this style everywhere — in our friends' homes, on Insta, etc. Unlike cane pieces that use a more traditional motif, this style is more raw and tightly woven to create an effect that really highlights the natural fibers. The result is something you'd think feels strictly costal/Hamptons-y, but actually, in the ways we're seeing it, this style of cane comes off as more boho and modern, even midcentury.
