Things You'll Need
A stain on clothing can ruin it permanently; many liquids and foods aren't exactly easy to remove. Once a stain sets, the chance of completely eradicating it dwindles. If you happen to get chocolate on clothing, make sure you attempt to remove it as quickly as you can. With little more than ordinary household products, you can successfully remove a chocolate stain from fabric.
Fill a medium-sized bowl with cold water. Add water softener; this will act as the basic liquid for removing the chocolate stain.
Dip the opposite side of the stained area of the clothing into the water bowl. Apply plenty of the water softener solution to the fabric, making sure that it's thoroughly soaked. Don't worry if other parts of the item also get wet; the solution won't damage them.
Rub a cloth with clean water on the stain. Don't scrub excessively. Continue rubbing the cloth against the stain until it appears to be gone.
Wash the article of clothing in a standard washing machine using cold water and laundry detergent. Dry as you usually would. Once completely dry, the stain should be gone.
