Socks keep the feet warm and are worn on a daily basis, but white socks get soiled and dingy. There are several stain lifters on the market that remove the stains, but they often contain unnatural chemical ingredients that you may not wish to use. Instead, use a natural whitening and stain lifting agent.
Fill a large pot with water. Add in 1 cup white vinegar per gallon of water.
Bring the water to a boil, and drop in the socks.
Turn off the stove and let the socks sit in the water overnight.
Remove the socks and launder as usual. The vinegar deodorizes, whitens and removes stains from the socks.
