The Cuisinart Coffee Grinder DBM-8 is an automatic coffee mill that includes an 18-position grind selector and grounds chamber. The grinder is capable of processing up to 18 cups of coffee, and its parts are removable for cleaning. It is important to clean your Cuisinart Coffee Grinder DBM-8 on a regular basis to keep coffee residue from building up inside of the appliance. Coffee buildup can lead to your fresh coffee having a stale taste.
Unplug your Cuisinart Coffee Grinder DBM-8 and remove its bean hopper lid. Place the lid to the side.
Remove the coffee grinder's chamber from the front of the appliance. Dump any coffee remains in the chamber into a trash can or bag. Sit the chamber to the side.
Turn the coffee grinder upside down and dump any grinds in the appliance into the trash can or bag.
Fill your kitchen sink with 1 tbsp. of dishwashing liquid and warm water. Place the bean hopper lid and grounds chamber into the soapy water. Wash the parts with a soft cloth or rag.
Dust the coffee grinder's bean hopper and chamber/grind release area with the Cuisinart cleaning brush or a small scrub brush. Turn the coffee grinder upside down over a trash can or bag and continue dusting the appliance until it is clean.
Rinse the appliance's lid and grounds chamber with warm water from the sink. Dry the parts with a clean, soft cloth or rag.
Fold the soft cloth or rag in half and wipe the coffee grinder with the cloth or rag, then re-assemble the appliance.
