A PGM output can activate a siren

PGM outputs on the DSC alarm system will activate when an event has occurred. You can program which event you would like to trigger an output. The output usually consists of an electrical current. Some of the many events that trigger an output are the burglar alarm going off, the system becoming armed or tampering. One use of the PGM outputs would be to connect a light or siren, so when the alarm goes off it sends an activating electrical current to the light or siren.

Step 2

Type in "009" on the keypad to enter the PGM output option programming mode.

Step 3

Enter the two-digit code of the event that you would like to trigger the PGM1 output first, and then enter the two-digit code of the event that you would like to trigger the PGM2 output second. If you don't want an event to trigger the PGM, type "00" on your keypad. For example, entering "00 05" will disable PGM1 and will cause PGM2 to output when the alarm is armed.

Step 4

Push the "#" key and then type "501" on your keypad to change PGM1's attributes. Typing "502" instead of "501" will let you change PGM2's attributes. You can only change the attributes of a PGM output if an output option has been selected for it.

Step 5

Push the number of the attribute you would like to change according to the output option you chose. Pushing the number will change the attribute to either on or off, depending on what it is. You can repeat this until you are done changing the attributes.

Step 6

Push the "#" twice to exit programming mode and return the keypad to normal operation.
