Make sure the pizza pan lines up with the top of the pot. The rim should rest securely on the planter without sliding inside or balancing awkwardly on top. If everything lines up, you can assemble the lid and upgrade boring planters with different fabrics and handle options.

First things first, give the pizza pan a light sanding so the glue has something to stick to. Brush on an even layer of dishwasher-safe Mod Podge, and place the fabric of your choice on the pan with the decorative side facing upward. Pull it taut and smooth it from the center outward, pressing it firmly into the pan's recessed edge to prevent wrinkles. If you want a distressed edge, trim the excess fabric as close as possible to the rim. For smooth edges, you can leave a half inch of fabric around the edge and secure it to the inside with more adhesive. Cover the fabric with another layer of Mod Podge before letting it dry completely.

Next, center the handle and secure it with a heavy-duty adhesive. Hot glue alone probably won't be strong enough, so use a stronger option such as E6000 and allow it to cure completely before lifting the lid with the handle.
