Mice hate the smell of hot sauce made with tabasco peppers.

Many products aimed at getting rid of mice are on the market. Some of these kill mice, while others humanely trap them so they can be released. There is a simple, inexpensive mixture you can make with laundry detergent that deters mice from even entering your home. As long as you have water, hot sauce made with tabasco peppers, and laundry detergent to act as a thickening agent, you have all the ingredients to protect your home.
