Experience

Kathleen McLaughlin has two big passions, gardening and journalism, and considers herself lucky to have landed work combining the two. She has more than 20 years experience in journalism, primarily newspapers and public radio. Kathleen's work has appeared on NPR, WBUR, the NPR program Here and Now, and New Hampshire Public Radio. She's written for a number of websites and publications, too, including Modern Farmer, Civil Eats, The Coastal Journal, and the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners newspaper. In addition to her flower farm in Maine, she has an active Etsy store selling a variety of vintage items, including (of course) old garden books and tools.

Education

Kathleen has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maine at Orono with a minor in public affairs.
