- Since 2012, Cynthia has been shaping her home one project at a time, trying out everything from sofas and storage systems to paint colors and DIY décor in her own space.
- While living in a cramped studio in Dublin, she crafted a mini cat garden on the balcony, rigging up mesh panels and potted herbs so her cat could safely enjoy the fresh air.
- She is currently in the process of renovating her home from the ground up, adding coats of paint, upcycling decor, and styling every corner herself.

Outside of writing, she likes poking around secondhand shops for hidden gems and putting her favorite home‑styling tricks into practice around the house.

Cynthia earned earned her bachelor's degree in media and cultural studies from Middlesex University.
