Consumer Reports Ranked This Noisy Dishwasher One Of The Worst For 2026

But in its testing, Consumer Reports found that the washing performance on the lower rack was only average, while its upper rack performed even worse. On top of that, the Hotpoint HDF330PGRWW creates a great deal of noise and lacks many features that come standard on other dishwashers. It doesn't even show how much time is left in the wash cycle.

The only thing that the Hotpoint HDF330PGRWW Dishwasher has going for it is its low price; it's listed for only $430 at Lowe's. However, a low price is not the only thing you should look for when choosing a dishwasher for your home. You should also look for features and reliability, as a dishwasher can do more than clean dishes.

The Hotpoint HDF330PGRWW dishwasher doesn't fare particularly well in Consumer Reports' review. However, its buyers on Lowe's seem to have more divided opinions about it. There, the dishwasher has an average 3.7-star rating from over 2,700 reviews, with nearly 63% of buyers recommending it. About 66% of the buyers gave the dishwasher a 4-star or 5-star rating. The positive reviews consistently mention its great value and cleaning performance. 

That said, plenty of buyers seem to agree with Consumer Reports, too. Nearly 26% of the ratings at Lowe's put the dishwasher at just one or two stars. These negative reviews mention that the dishwasher is noisiness, with many requiring insulating blankets to throw over the washer in an effort to lower its sound. Not everyone was able to get its cleaning performance up to par, either, with a few mentions of the dishes not getting as dry as they should be. Some reviews have also noted that it's very difficult to put the dishes in the lower rack, and the plastic build felt cheap and fragile to certain owners.

It's also important to note here that the Hotpoint HDF330PGRWW does not come with a fill hose or a power cord. It weighs about 55 pounds, as well. So even if you know how to install a dishwasher, installing it might not be a single-person job — and if you ask Lowe's for installation, you might need to deal with extra charges.
