If you're also head over heels about Nordic and Scandinavian style, there's a new retailer you might want to bookmark. ÅBEN basically feels like a high-end online boutique with pieces ranging from "our plant would look great in that" to "OK, maybe when we win the lottery."
Forbes reports that the online shop came to fruition thanks to entertainment lawyer David Harrigan, who was searching high and low for one-of-a-kind Scandinavian pieces. The site even features background info on each maker. ÅBEN also partnered with One Tree Planted to plant one tree for each product sold.

The site does ship internationally but that, of course, comes with an extra fee. Fragile, high-end pieces are "insured and specially packaged." Shipping in Europe is free.
