You might not like the smell of vinegar, but chances are that you'll like it a lot more than the smell of pet urine on your microfiber furniture. When pets have accidents, you don't want to make a mistake: vinegar is the best way to clean urine on microfiber furniture.

Natural Cleaning Method

Step 1

Blot the urine with paper towels if it's a fresh stain. Avoid wiping the stain so that you don't spread it.

Pour 1/2 cup vinegar into the spray bottle and fill the rest with lukewarm water for new pet stains. For settled pet stains, combine 1 cup vinegar and 1 cup lukewarm water. Spray a liberal amount of the solution onto the urine stain. Let it soak into the microfiber for a few minutes.

Scrub the area with a soft cloth or sponge. Blot any excess solution with paper towels.

Step 4

Let your furniture dry. Direct a fan or blow dryer on the area if you wish.

Step 5

Sprinkle baking soda on the area once it is dry. Let it sit to absorb the odor for about 24 hours, and then vacuum the particles away.

Enzyme Products

Step 1

Use a commercial enzyme product to remove urine or pet stains on microfiber furniture.

Step 2

Saturate the area fully by spraying on the enzyme product, as per the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 3

Set a white cloth to soak up the extra moisture. Follow this method by using the method from the first section for final cleaning, if desired.

Step 4

Dry the furniture by placing a fan on it, or set cushions in place they can easily dry.
