How to Get Rid of Lawn Grubs Naturally

Lawn grubs are born as a result of eggs laid in the soil by the Japanese beetle. Once the lawn grubs are born, they begin to search for roots in the soil. The grubs then feast on these roots, destroying the grass or plants above it, which can be very frustrating for homeowners. There are a few methods you can utilize to get rid of the grubs naturally, which will save you from having to use harsh chemicals on your lawn.

Grubs can cause brown patches in lawns.

Step 1

Mix the neem oil with the water. Neem oil is an all natural insecticide that won't harm grass or plants in any way.

Step 2

Pour the mixture into a garden sprayer, and attach the sprayer to your garden hose.

Step 3

Spray the neem oil on your lawn where you have seen grubs or noticed damage caused by grubs. Make sure you spray liberally, and work in a pattern from left to right or right to left to prevent missing any spots.

Step 4

Wait for the lawn to dry before allowing children and pets to play outside. You don't want them to disturb the area before the neem oil has time to penetrate the soil and kill the grubs.
