Experience
Lauren has worked as an acquisitions editor for two prominent hobbyist book publishers focusing on home and garden categories. During her time as an acquiring editor, she oversaw multiple authors on a variety of DIY-style books. As a freelance editor, Lauren has amassed a collection of authors who write home and garden content not only in book publishing but also online article writing as well. In addition to her editing work at Hunker, she runs her own editorial company, Lauren Younker Editorial, for freelance editing needs.
Education
Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English literature, with a minor in writing and rhetoric and a certificate in women's and gender studies from the University of Central Florida. She also obtained her Master of Professional Studies in publishing from The George Washington University.
