Experience
Kristine is a journalist by trade and got her start in newspapers. Her first full-time job was at the Naples Daily News in Florida, where she covered everything from education to city council and local crime. She eventually went on to work in media relations for the local Sheriff's Office. During that time, she began freelance writing on the side, launching her own freelance writing business. She now works from home, surrounded by her many pets, writing for publications like Better Homes & Gardens and Modernize, where she has covered home trends and real estate news and provided cost breakdowns on various home renovation projects. She has overseen extensive renovations of her own home and has taken what she learned to craft detailed home design, renovation, and improvement tips for Hunker.
