Skip Wreaths: There's A Spookier Way To Decorate Your Front Door For Halloween
Halloween is a spine-tingling celebration of everything that goes bump in the night — and for many fans of easy DIY home décor, Halloween is the best night of the year. With another spooky season on the horizon, it's not too early to think about decorations that will delight trick-or-treaters when they knock on your door. Autumnal wreaths can be colorful and welcoming, but their popularity has also made them a bit obvious and, well, expected. If you're looking for something decidedly unexpected (and inexpensive!) this Halloween, skip the wreaths and cover your front door in spiderwebs.
On TikTok, content creator Rachel Meaders shared a video in which she turned her ordinary front door into a spectacular spiderweb, with her decorations only costing $20 total. Opening a bag of fake spiderweb décor, she stretches the webbing around the entire door from top to bottom, securing the pseudo-silk with Command hooks. After following Meaders' lead and speckling the web with some hairy, scary spider decorations, your house will be ready for Halloween.
Styling your amazing spiderwebs
Fake spiders and spiderwebs are some of the best Halloween decorations to give your home and yard a spooky makeover. They're incredibly customizable, even if you don't have the space (or the spirit) for a 59-inch giant spider. While Meaders uses semi-realistic white spiderwebs in her video, stretchy fake webs come in a metaphorically pumpkin-shaped grab-bag of colors. Spirit Halloween sells super stretch spider webs in pink and even glow-in-the-dark green webs. Meanwhile, the Watayo black Halloween spider web decor on Amazon features orange spiders against black webbing for contrast.
