These Unexpectedly Stylish Fast Food Locations Are Instagram Gold

Fast food is a little uninspiring. Sure, you might have a hankering for a cheeseburger, a fountain soda, and some fries every now and then, but your local McDonald's is not going to be the epitome of a gourmet meal in a gorgeous setting. Or is it?

Well, you shouldn't expect Michelin-star quality in the food, but you might just be able to dine in a pretty incredible space — or with a pretty breathtaking view. Check out some of the most Insta-worthy fast food restaurants around the world!

1. Taco Bell Cantina in Pacifica, California

Yes, that is a beachfront Taco Bell with a surf shack vibe. Inside you'll find lofted wood-beamed ceilings and a glass fireplace, and outside there's a patio with beautiful views of the sea. Oh, and did we mention this is actually a Taco Bell Cantina? That means it serves alcohol!

2. Starbucks in Kyoto, Japan

Believe it or not, there's a Starbucks hiding in this photo. The Starbucks Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya is set in a century-old machiya, or traditional wooden townhouse. While there are regular tables downstairs, head to the second floor to sip your Frap while seated on a tatami mat.

3. McDonald's in Batumi, Georgia

You'd be totally forgiven if you thought this striking glass structure was a museum. But no, it's a McDonald's! Designed by architect Giorgi Khmaladze, the polyhedral restaurant won ArchDaily's Building of the Year award in the commercial category in 2014.

4. Pizza Hut in Giza, Egypt

While you might think the Pyramids of Giza are in the middle of the desert, they're actually right next to the urban sprawl — and you can peep them from this second-floor Pizza Hut (which sits atop a KFC). There's a roof deck, too, which is prime for getting some solid photos of this Wonder of the Ancient World.

5. McDonald's in New Hyde Park, New York

It's hard to believe you can find a McDonald's inside a former mansion, but here we are. Originally a farmhouse built in the 18th century, Denton House (as this building is known) was converted into a Georgian manse in the mid-19th century. McDonald's bought it in 1985 and was prevented from demolishing it by the town's residents. And thus we ended up with one of the most beautiful and historic McDonald's in the world!
