Listen, we love shopping for new furniture. We love meandering showroom floors (in pre-pandemic times, anyway), and scrolling the websites of our favorite brands and retailers to pick the perfect piece for our home.
You know what we don't love? Building our own furniture. For some reason, it often seems like it takes a rocket scientist to decipher the self-assembly instructions that come with many sofas, headboards, and bookshelves. But reader, we have some news for you: The dark days of building furniture are behind us thanks to this incredible hack.
As it turns out, Wayfair understands our plight. While the retailer does offer professional assembly services for a fee, budget-conscious shoppers will be thrilled to know that you can actually filter your furniture searches by "assembled," which will return results of fully assembled furniture only. It's as simple as typing in your search phrase (like "couch") and then clicking "Sort & Filter."
Then, choose "Features" and "Assembled."
Voilà! Now you can enjoy thousands of products that don't require any major assembly. Your roommates and partners will thank us.
