You can't have a home office without some type of desk. (Well, technically, you could, but that doesn't sound very comfortable to us.) Problem is, it's easy to quickly drain your bank account on a fancy writing station. The good news: We've done some digging and scrounged up some desks that are actually affordable and attractive. Nothing here is over $300 — in fact, most are under $200.

From Walmart's new Queer Eye-inspired collection comes this simple yet handsome desk which combines a distressed, woodgrain top and a bold metal frame. (Sold out! Try instead the Safco Single Drawer Office Desk, $241.60.)

Small space? This leaning desk-shelf combo will give you a workstation that takes up next to no room, and gives you extra shelving for storage. (Sold out! Try instead the Nathan James Theo 2-Shelf Industrial Wall Mount Ladder Table, $149.99.)

Take advantage of a small room by trying out a corner desk, which can often make great use of dead space. Bonus: If you're trying to create an office space to accommodate two people, you can each personalize your workstation. (Of course, there might not be enough room for you to both work at once, but it's still nice to have your own space ready for you.) (Sold out! Try instead the Curiod Metal Frame Wood Top L-Desk, $169.99)

Hello, versatility! If you're looking for a piece that can be repurposed, then this desk could easily have a second life as a console table, or better yet, a vanity (which would be so killer with the black/gold Hollywood glam vibes).
