Just Add Guests: Hunker and Food52 Do Game Night

game night dinner

No offense to fancy-schmancy dinner parties, but sometimes you just ... can't, you know? Which is why we try to maintain a healthy balance of high-end vs. casual entertaining. What's our favorite low-maintenance shindig? Game night!

Keep the decor and food simple with utensil-free eats you can serve in disposable (and compostable) plates. (Makes clean up ridiculously easy.) Snacks can go in sharable dishes and trays in cheerful colors to complement the mood. As for game night activities: Our editors vote for Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Pictionary, and Cranium. Or, if you want to DIY your game, Celebrity is guaranteed fun. Check out our recipe and table picks from our buddies at Food52:
