How to Open a Whirlpool Washer Top

Opening and removing the top of the Whirlpool washing machine is different from opening most washing appliances. Generally clips are near the front of the machine, allowing you to pry up on the top of the unit with a flat blade to detach the lid. On a Whirlpool unit, the clips are located near the back and require you to lift the lid from the back toward the front. You can open the top of the washing machine in less than 15 minutes to access the interior workings of the appliance.
