When your Whirlpool Duet dryer suddenly quits working correctly, you need to figure out where the problem is inside the dryer. One way to narrow down the search for the problem is through process of elimination. It is possible to determine if the control board is an issue by entering the Whirlpool Duet dryer diagnostics. This gives an overall check of the control board electronics and their related components. This is one of the first tests that a trained service professional performs on the unit.
