A Philips-head screwdriver is required for this job

Samsung washers and dryers can be stacked by installing a stacking kit. The stacking kit connects the washer to the dryer and helps the dryer stay in place on top of the washer. Washers and dryers should never be stacked without a stacking kit, or they could fall and cause damage or injury. Samsung recommends having two people to lift the dryer into place on top of the washer.

Step 1

Cover the floor with cardboard or a cloth to prevent damaging the dryer. Set the dryer on its side on the floor.

Step 2

Unscrew the dryer leveling legs. Remove the screw that holds each leg assembly in place with the Philips screwdriver. Remove the legs and leg assemblies.

Step 3

Snap the stacking support guides into the connector holes in the base of the dryer. The support guides go on the right and left sides of the base of the dryer. Secure the support guides with the Philips-head screws.

Step 4

Connect the two rear brackets to the back of the washer with the screws and washers that are provided. The connecting holes for the brackets are near the top of the unit on the right and left sides.

Step 5

Lift the dryer on top of the washer. Position it so the rear brackets of the washer are flush with the back of the dryer and align with the holes on the rear of the dryer.

Step 6

Connect the rear brackets to the back of the dryer with the provided screws.
