Frigidaire refrigerators have door handles used to open the refrigerator and freezer doors. The door handles are made of either stainless steel or plastic, depending on the refrigerator design. Because of the repeated pulling and pushing on the handles, it is not uncommon for a refrigerator handle to become loose or break. If your Frigidaire has a door handle that is broken or loose, tighten or replace it to ensure that the refrigerator and freezer doors are easy to open.

Step 1

Insert an Allen wrench into the Allen slot on the top-inside portion of the door handle. Turn the wrench clockwise to tighten the handle if it is loose. Repeat to tighten the bottom Allen screw on the bottom-inside portion of the door handle.

Step 2

Turn both Allen screws on the door handle counterclockwise to loosen them, then lift the handle off the door if it is broken.

Step 3

Align the holes on the bottom of the door handle with the shoulder screws on the door.

Step 4

Hold the handle firmly against the door, then tighten the Allen screws to secure the new handle in place.
