How Do I Clean My Cyclone By Lasko Fan?

Things Needed

  • Clean cloth(s)

  • Philips head screwdriver

  • Flat head screwdriver

The Lasko Cyclone fan is a window fan designed for use in a small environment, such as a single room or apartment. The unit includes several speeds, an automatic shut-off timer, expander panels to fit most windows and an electronic control panel. The Cyclone fan is available for purchase in many home retail, garden or hardware stores, as well as online, and should be maintained on a regular basis for the best performance. This includes cleaning the fan to reduce dirt and maintain proper operation.

Step 1

Turn off and disconnect the Lasko Cyclone fan from the power supply.

Step 2

Set the fan on a flat, stable surface with the front grille facing up.

Step 3

Remove the screws on the rear grille and then insert a flat-head screwdriver between the front and rear grilles. Push down slightly on the screwdriver to create a gap between the two grilles.

Step 4

Pull the front grille up until the fan blade is evident. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe the fan blade. Do not touch the motor.

Step 5

Push the front grille back down until it connects firmly with the rear grille. Restore the screws on the rear grille.

Step 6

Wipe the vents and grilles with a clean, damp cloth and wipe dry with a cloth.
