Frigidaire ranges are dangerous appliances that are not to be treated as toys by children. Although the oven and burner controls are often located on the top of the appliance, well out of the reach of children, it is possible for a child to open the oven door. The door is spring loaded and can slam shut, potentially causing serious injury. To prevent children from opening and closing the oven door, Frigidaire includes a safety feature that allows you to lock the door.

Ensure that the door is securely in the closed position.

Locate the "Clear/Off" button on the range's control panel. Often, the button is located on the right-side on of the control panel, near the "Bake" and "Broil" buttons.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Clear/Off" button for at least three seconds.
Step 4
Release the "Clear/Off" button when "Loc" is displayed on the range.
