How To Calibrate Fuzion Digital Scales
Scales can be used for a variety of purposes, from weighing ingredients to food portions, to measuring prescription medications. Many scales are now digital, and just like traditional scales, they must be calibrated regularly to ensure that they are displaying accurate weights. Fuzion Scale Company, based in the Netherlands, produces a line of battery-powered portable "pocket" scales that you can calibrate using a special mode and calibration equipment. With the right equipment and technique, you can calibrate a Fuzion pocket scale in a few steps.
Step 1
Open the Fuzion digital scale. Flip it open or remove the cover, depending on the model.
Step 2
Press the "Mode" button. Hold the button in until a "g" appears, if your calibration weight is measured in grams. This will display any weights in grams.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Mode" button until "cal" appears on the screen. This means the scale is now in calibration mode.
Step 4
Press and release the "Mode" button. "Cal" will flash once, then an amount in grams will display on the screen. This will vary among different models of Fuzion digital scales. The calibration weight should be the same amount as the maximum weight of the Fuzion digital scale.
Step 5
Place the calibration weight in the center of the scale's weighing surface. After a few seconds, "Pass" will appear on the screen. This means the maximum weight has been set and the Fuzion digital scale has been recalibrated.
