While most kitchens have a traditional clock, the digital clock on a microwave can be a valuable tool for keeping track of how long a dish has cooked, how long a pot has been boiling, or even as a handy time reference for the busy cook. Setting the clock on an Emerson 1000W microwave is just a matter of pressing a few buttons.
Ensure the microwave is plugged in. When the clock is not set, you should see a series of dashes in the display panel.
Press the "Clock" button, located on the left side of the panel. The panel should clear except for a blinking colon. This means the microwave is waiting for you to input the clock time.
Press the buttons to correspond to the current time. For example, if it is 3:44, press "3," "4" and "4." The microwave clock does not distinguish between a.m. and p.m.
Press the "Clock" button again to lock the time in.
