Most over-the-range microwaves measure about 30 inches wide.

Designing a new kitchen or remodeling an existing one can prompt you to select a new set of appliances. If you are working with a small space or just don't use a microwave much, you may want to "think small" when the time comes to choose a microwave. The smallest over-the-range microwaves have less than 2 cubic feet of capacity.

This 1.6-cubic-foot microwave oven offers 1,000 watts of cooking power and provides a 1,200-watt grilling element. This white appliance also comes in black (JVM1665DNBB) and stainless-steel (JVM1665SNSS) designs.
