If you need to cool down a single room in a building without central air conditioning, one option is to use a portable air conditioner. Frigidaire makes a portable air conditioner that has casters to enable you to move it from one room to another. It has a remote control for convenient operation. After you set up the air conditioner near a window or an opening to blow hot air outside, you might want to set the timer to have it go on and off at specific times.
