Hair dyeing should always be done in the bathroom where spilled dye can easily be wiped off of the counter top, shower curtain or where ever else it lands. However, if the hair dye should get on a piece of furniture, don't fret. There is a very easy way to get the hair dye out using a simple product that many people already have at home. The best part is that not only will it remove the dye, but it will do so safely without bleaching or damaging the furniture. This method of the removing the dye is safe for wood, ceramic and any cloth/fabric.
For Hard Surfaces

Step 1
Spray the hair dye stain directly with hairspray. Use one to two sprays per stain.

Wipe the spot down with the clean cloth.
Step 3
Rinse out the cloth with cool water and wipe the stained area again. If a light stain can still be seen, repeat Steps 1 through 3 until the stain is gone.
For Cloth
Step 1
Spray the tip of a cotton swab with hairspray so that it is saturated.
Step 2
Roll the swab down the stained area, applying only a light pressure on to the stain. Only roll the swab down the stained area once--do not repeat the rolling motion with the same swab and do not rub the swab into the cloth--this can transfer the dye from the swab back to the cloth.
Step 3
Spray a second swab with hairspray and repeat Step 1 and 2. For new stains, you may need to repeat this process three times. For older, set-in stains you may need to repeat the steps up to five times. The hairspray will get the stain out without bleaching the fabric.
