How to Reset a Sanyo Television DS20030

Sanyo's DS series of flat screen televisions are predecessors to the thinner flat panel TVs. This model comes with a built-in user interface that allows you to control picture settings (color and tint, etc.), sound settings, closed captioning and sleep timer. Over time, you may want to change these settings.

Step 1

Press the "Power" button on the front of the television or on the remote.

Step 2

Locate the "Reset" button on the bottom left of the Sanyo remote that came with the television. If using a universal remote, the "Reset" button may be elsewhere on the device. If you do not see the "Reset" button proceed directly to Step 3; otherwise skip to Step 4.

Step 3

Press the "Menu" button on the remote. Scroll through the on-screen menu until you see the option to "Reset all settings" or "Factory reset." Use the remote directional buttons to navigate to the "Reset" option. Press "Enter" or "OK" on the universal remote. Press "Enter" or "OK" again to confirm the "Reset."

Step 4

Press the "Reset" button. An on-screen message appears. Press "Reset" once again to confirm and reset all settings to the factory settings.
