A new mailbox is a great way to dress up the front of your house. Assuming this is a new installation over an existing brick wall, mounting it only takes a few simple steps and should only take about 45 minutes.
Step 1
Determine the location on the wall where you want to mount the mailbox by holding it in place. Have a helper hold a level over the top of the mailbox. Mark the location of the mounting holes with caulk.

Determine the size and quantity of masonry anchors you will need by measuring the diameter of the mounting hole on the back of the mailbox.
Step 3
Drill a hole in the brick wall for each marked masonry anchor location.
Step 4
Vacuum the drilled holes before inserting the anchor. Insert the anchor portion of the masonry anchor into the drilled hole. Make sure the anchor is flush with the surface of the brick.
Step 5
Hold the mailbox to the location of the anchors. Make sure the mounting holes in the back of the mailbox match the location of the anchors. Remember, too, that the anchors are designed to have a matching screw driven into them.
Step 6
Drive in a matching screw at each location through the mailbox and into the masonry anchors to hold the mailbox in place.
