OxiClean is a safe alternative to chemical-based bleach products, as the item is comprised of oxygen bleach that uses oxygen ions to fuel its cleaning power. When cleaning your outdoor deck, the oxygen bleach is a much better alternative than chlorine bleach as it cleans any deck surface without causing discoloration or damage to plants, shrubs, soil and similar surroundings.
Step 1
Mix 1 cup OxiClean and 1 gallon water in a cleaning bucket.

Step 2
Rinse off your deck with the garden hose to loosen debris and buildup.
Step 3
Dip a nylon scrub brush into the water and OxiClean mixture and scrub it over the deck. Continue across the deck until the entire unit is cleaned to your satisfaction.
