Things You'll Need
A suede couch adds elegance to any living room. Although suede is a durable material that will last for many years, you must take care when removing stains and cleaning suede. If you find an ink spot on your suede couch, don't panic. Ink on suede does not have to be permanent. Although removing ink stains from suede may seem impossible, you can get the ink off effectively without compromising the integrity of the fabric.
Moisten a soft rag with white vinegar. Wipe the ink stain gently.
Continue wiping, adding more vinegar as necessary, until the ink no longer transfers from the suede couch to the rag. Let the area air-dry.
Moisten a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol if the ink stain does not come off completely with the vinegar. Rub the alcohol onto the ink stain using the cotton swab. When the swab becomes filled with ink, switch to a clean cotton swab and apply more alcohol. Continue this process until the ink stain is gone.
Use fine-grit sandpaper as a last resort to remove ink from your suede couch. Rub the sandpaper gently over the ink stain until it is gone. Do not rub too briskly or you may damage the suede.
Always test the product you are using on a small area of the couch prior to applying it to a more noticeable area.
