DWR's Champagne Chair Contest Has the Cutest Mini Chairs We've Ever Seen

What do you do with that cork after you pop a bottle of champagne for a fancy dinner? Do you reuse it for a DIY project or toss it immediately?

Design Within Reach encouraged furniture lovers to get creative with cork — and other champagne bottle materials that usually go in the trash — to create mini, chic furniture pieces. The 16th Annual DWR Champagne Chair Contest asked for submissions of tiny chairs made from "only the foil, label, cage, and cork from no more than two champagne bottles." The competition included a few categories like Best Likeness — chairs that actually resemble existing or iconic designs. Entrants posted the photos of their miniature wonders on Instagram for the chance to win a $1,000 gift card from Design Within Reach.

We've already seen some awesome cork decor accessories so we figured there was plenty of room to get creative, even on a much smaller scale. And the entries did not disappoint. Check out the winners below.
