These Storage Baskets Are Ideal for Neat Freaks AND Messy People

My house doesn't have a lot of storage space. And while I've accepted this and have cleaned and cleared out my space so many times over, I still sometimes wonder where to put my stuff.

See, I come from Connecticut — we are private folks, we like to tuck things away, and I don't want guests seeing personal items in my medicine cabinet or out on counters when they come over because boundaries, people. (Also, I don't actually have medicine cabinets.)

So, I'm here to tell you that I have found a storage solution that covers all the important bases for me: Nordic Storage Baskets from The Container Store. They are lovely to look at with a clean Scandi vibe, they come in a few different sizes depending on storage needs, and they have an optional bamboo top, which I highly recommend. Meaning, you can close up the basket (read: hide your junk, prescriptions, bits and bobs), and still look totally neat and organized, even if you just throw everything in there. It's a perfect solution for everyone.

I use these storage baskets under my bathroom sink …

On my laundry shelves …

And in my cleaning "closet."

Also, in my makeup drawer. (Oh man, do I love throwing all my makeup in these baskets and then closing it up.)

Underneath the lid, I can be as messy as I want. But when you come to my house and go snooping, you'll never be the wiser.
