For years now, customers of Floyd, the Detroit-based houseware company, have raved about its birchwood bed frame and frequently asked the company what the ideal mattress was to pair with it. The company says it couldn't answer that question — until now, with the launch of its very own mattress.

Floyd's bed frame, which launched in 2015, was an instant bestseller. The simple, modular birchwood platform bed with steel legs has since been retooled to include a headboard and storage, while building a pretty massive following. Floyd says the bed can be found in more than 21,000 homes. So, having the perfect mattress to pair with it seems like a no-brainer.

Like other Floyd products, the mattress is made with high-quality materials sourced in the U.S. The Floyd mattress is made to be compatible with the Floyd Bed, but will work with other set-ups as well. To pair up perfectly with the bed, the mattress sits at a minimalist 10 inches high and features over 1,000 pocketed coils to provide support, along with a dense foam layer for comfort. The breathable foam is infused with copper and graphite to help dissipate body heat for a cool night's sleep.

The Floyd mattress comes with a 10-year warranty, a 30-day return policy and, best of all, ships right to your doorstep in a convenient box. It starts at $795 for a Twin and $1,195 for a King and is officially out October 29, although you can join the waitlist now.
