Just in time for fall, CB2 and GQ have partnered to create the first-ever home collection for the renowned men's fashion magazine. "We're often inspired by what we're seeing in fashion here at CB2, so partnering with GQ was a no-brainer," CB2 President Ryan Turf tells Hunker of the natural partnership between the two brands. And, yes, the resulting collection — spanning bedding, lighting, and sofas — is just as sophisticated and stylish as you'd expect.

"Our vision was to create something contemporary, yet we drew a ton of inspiration from iconic eras like the '30s, '70s, and '80s," explains Turf of the line, which is available to shop in stores and online today. "We're often inspired by what we're seeing in fashion, and those decades definitely had a unique and distinctive sense of style. Much like the '30s, '70s, and '80s, you'll find a blend of masculine yet refined materials throughout the collection. Think heavy and industrial matched with more delicate pieces."

A first look at the collection reveals some of fall's top trends, including black marble accessories, edgy metal light fixtures, and vintage-inspired sofas complete with blind tufting. Ahead are just a few that we spotted in the exceedingly stylish editorial.

Neutral Tones

Pared-back tones are a given for fall, and the collection is proof that neutral decor, when done right, is anything but boring. "The line includes neutral and timeless colors that we always tend to see around the fall, including oak, saddle brown leather, blue and black," says Turf. "There's definitely a masculine edge to the collection, but we think it appeals to men and women alike."

Texture, Texture, Texture

An interesting mix of textures and materials is what sets a stylish home, much like a stylish outfit, apart from the rest. "The collection draws from midcentury modern inspiration with an emphasis on texture — balancing a sense of toughness with more refined details," Turf explains. "Materials like oak, marble, and metals lend themselves to an effortless mix that works for every home."

Blind Tufting

If the collection is any indication, blind tufting is poised for a comeback. CB2 and GQ endorsed the trend with a blind tufted leather sofa and a blind tufted leather armchair in tobacco and black. Though blind tufted furnishings often skew traditional, these pieces are decidedly modern, boasting the clean, contemporary lines we've come to expect from CB2's wares.

Solid Oak Furnishings

Solid oak furnishings punctuate the line — spanning an elevated nightstand to a sleek dining table to a sculptural coffee table. At once timeless and on-trend, the durable light-toned wood pairs well with the dark neutral linens, edgy metal light fixtures, and black marble accessories that dominate the collection and are sure to make their way into every stylish home this fall.
