If you're trying to cut down on plastic use in your home, it's worth taking a bit of extra time to see what materials are present in items you might take for granted. Take, for example, your cutting board.

Direct-to-consumer kitchenware brand Material wants to make the cutting board just a little more eco-friendly. Its reBoard cutting board is now back in stock at an affordable price. The board is made of 75% recycled plastic and 25% sugarcane.

The brand takes plastic scraps from kitchenware manufacturing and turns it into the basis of these cutting boards. The sugarcane helps to add a strong base for the board, which is dishwasher safe and comes in four colors including a burnt orange that we are specifically eyeing.

The reBoard is currently available for $35 on Material's site. Here's to trying to make the kitchen a little more eco-friendly.
