Even though your mom told you not to play with the stove as a child, you might've had one of those plastic or wooden replicas where you could flip pancakes and bake cookies to your heart's content. Now, we've just uncovered the millennial version: a miniature Instant Pot, perfectly sized for child's play.
Throughout the years, one of the most popular types of toys for children has been play versions of things we use as adults around the house. Vacuum cleaners, stovetops, and pantries have always been trendy toys that teach children to act like grownups, and even learn a little responsibility along the way. Over the years, however, these toys have come a long way. Your child's toy vacuum is now a legit Dyson that looks just like the real thing, and stovetops come with all sorts of bells and whistles that let you know the food is "done" (sometimes with literal bells and whistles). And now your child can have trendy cooking equipment just like you, too!
Available at Target, the Perfectly Cute One Stop Cooking Pot will let kids feel like they're really about to throw together a slow-cooker meal, make some quick rice, steam some vegetables, or, for the ambitious types, make some homemade yogurt. While the Perfectly Cute One Stop Cooking Pot can't actually cook anything, it does give the illusion of letting off steam with its own water dropper and sizzling and boiling sound effects. The pot also comes with a fake whole chicken and broccoli (but your child will doubtlessly try to "instant pot" everything in their toy collection), and has various knobs to replicate changing various settings.
Unlike the real thing, the Perfectly Cute One Stop Cooking Pot is available for a good price — it will only set you back $20.
