The Monterey Five face another season of keeping secrets and trying to hold on to their sanity in the upcoming premiere of Big Little Lies. And while we can't wait for the next plot twist to unfold, we also love getting a peek at the gorgeous interiors on the series.
Who could forget the iconic scenes in this beachside town, not to mention the characters' stunning homes overlooking the waves? Ahead of the new season's premiere on HBO, take a peek inside these rooms inspired by Big Little Lies, put together by Modsy and featuring items from some of our favorite brands.
Celeste's story basically anchors the entire series. It's hard to watch a lot of the scenes that make up her story, so we love seeing those moments of downtime she gets with her boys and the rest of the Monterey Five. It seems like she will be back with the boys in their house during the new season. We love how her home decor style embodies the seaside look in an elegant way.
This room gets its cool, coastal vibes with items like a muted couch complemented by a Crate and Barrel Alex navy blue velvet accent chair. During chilly evenings, Celeste can wrap herself in a Saro Lifestyle tasseled throw blanket. The boys would probably enjoy taking turns playing on the Crate and Barrel Briar neutral pouf.
A laughter-filled rehearsal for that fateful talent show and fundraiser happened in Madeline's living room before the plot twist got revealed. We can't wait to see how the mood of the house changes, but in the meantime we want to hang on to the breezy, light-filled image we have of this relaxing space.
The Monterey Five obviously didn't get along right away, with Madeline and Bonnie especially struggling to have a good relationship. Although Bonnie gets unfairly judged for her flowy clothing and long necklaces (out of place in the cookie-cutter town), we love her eclectic and earthy style.
It comes through in this pattern-filled, cozy space that features an Anthropologie Tanja trunk as one of its eye-catching pieces. The Serena & Lily Headlands pendant shows Bonnie's willingness to mix and match textures. A pair of golden Joybird decorative round pillows and a CB2 faux potted monstera plant capture her down-to-earth persona.
We like to imagine Renata winding down with a glass of wine after a long day, then making her way to this modern and minimal bedroom. The no-nonsense, symmetrical space also features items that show off her style and personality, like a Tom Ford coffee-table book.
