If you're like most of us, then there are two things we can definitely agree on: praise for Ikea's current designs and disdain for August's stifling weather. But thanks to the brand's announcement to unveil its 2018 U.S. catalog at the beginning of next month, we finally have a reason to put up with the temperatures — because Ikea's latest looks are really heating up.
The catalog, which will be available in stores on August 2 and online August 7, centers on the home as a place to "make room for life." That theme, which is especially focused on the living room, features saturated shades intertwined with gold finishes, and textural details that evoke scenes of the tropics. It's a collection that demonstrates Ikea's understanding of the modern address as a place that meets a variety of needs, personalities, and comfort levels.
"As homes rapidly change to fit our lifestyles, we want to inspire and enable people to make room for the things they love in life," said Shideh Hashemi, marketing manager at Ikea U.S.
And customers can also make room for a new way to flip through this catalog, too. In addition to the print and online versions, these items can also be viewed in an app for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets beginning on August 7.
