How to Keep a Fresh Flower Corsage From Wilting

Flowers are an important part of most weddings, from the table arrangements to the bride's bouquet to the corsages worn by the rest of the wedding party and many of the guests. Knowing how to care for your corsages to stop them from wilting will be one less thing to worry about on the big day and keep the flowers looking fantastic for the wedding photographs.

A corsage should stay fresh as long as you need it to.
Any type of spray bottle will work.

Spray the corsage lightly using a water spray. Spray each flower in the corsage individually to keep it open.

An egg cup is the perfect size for keeping a corsage in water.

Fill an egg cup or a small container or a similar size with water and immerse the stems of the corsage. If this is not possible, lightly spritz each stem with the water spray.

Step 3

Place the corsage in a suitable plastic bag, such as a resealable food storage bag, and seal it tightly. Place the bag flat on a shelf in the refrigerator and leave it there overnight.

Step 4

Purchase a flower sealant from a florist or online retailer. Mist the corsage thoroughly with the sealant before you wear it to help prevent it from wilting or fading.
